Description
Chaney roots (Cocolmeca, Similax) is a plant harvested by digging up the roots, wash and sundried. The root is about fifty percent starch, it has volatile oil and acids such as shikimic acid, ferulic acid, sarcoptic acid, kaempferol and quercetin. It also contains minerals such as aluminium, chromium, iron, magnesium, selenium, calcium and zinc.
